Hi,

The OpenVAS developers are happy to announce the release of openvas-libraries
2.0.4. This is the fourth maintenance release of the openvas-libraries module
for the Open Vulnerability Assessment System (OpenVAS) 2.0 series.

It fixes a small number of issues discovered after the release of
openvas-libraries 2.0.3 and introduces new functionality designed to enable
improvements in other OpenVAS modules.

Effect when installing this version:
The cache of NVT descriptions (by default located in plugin_folder/.desc/) will
be rebuilt at the next start of openvasd. Which essentially means that the first
startup after installation of this version will take longer (a few minutes in
worst case).

Main changes since 2.0.3:
* Support for mandatory keys in NVTs has been added in accordance with Change
  Request #39 (http://openvas.org/openvas-cr-39.html).
* Improved logging capabilities.

Bugfixes:
* Closed Bug #1033 (http://bugs.openvas.org/1033).
  This solved build failure on Mac OS X 10.4.11.
* Close bug #1035 (http://bugs.openvas.org/1035).
  This solves linker problem related to gcrypt.
* Closed bug #1037 (http://bugs.openvas.org/1037).
  This addresses DESTDIR and makes life easier creating
  openvas-libraries installation packages.

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this release: Stephan Kleine,
Matthew Mundell, Laban Mwangi, Ryan Schmidt, Jan-Oliver Wagner, Michael Wiegand
and Felix Wolfsteller.

Regards,

  Felix Wolfsteller
