Hi Scott I conclude that your other issue is solved (a post on the mailing list thread ~"works now, might have been..." would have been nice).
You can give administrator roles with the openvas-administrator. All it does (for now) is putting a file called "isadmin" in the users directory (PREFIX/var/lib/openvas/user/youruser/). You can thus introduce administrators manually by placing that file (e.g. "touch [/PREFIX]/var/lib/openvas/user/youruser/isadmin"). Otherwise call "openvasad -n youruser -w youpassword --role=Admin" (i might have confused something here, call "openvasad --help" to clarify). -- felix On Friday 12 March 2010 04:37:22 Scott Damron wrote: > I followed the openvas-adduser dialog and created a user, however, > when I log into the greenbone interface using that user and attempt to > use the "Administration" menu, I get the following error: > > Operation: List Users > Status message: Access refused. > Only users given the Administrator role may access User Administration. > > How do I assign a user the Administrative role? > > Thanks! > > Scott > _______________________________________________ > Openvas-discuss mailing list > > http://lists.wald.intevation.org/mailman/listinfo/openvas-discuss -- Felix Wolfsteller | ++49 541 335083-783 | http://www.intevation.de/ PGP Key: 39DE0100 Intevation GmbH, Neuer Graben 17, 49074 Osnabrück | AG Osnabrück, HR B 18998 Geschäftsführer: Frank Koormann, Bernhard Reiter, Dr. Jan-Oliver Wagner _______________________________________________ Openvas-discuss mailing list http://lists.wald.intevation.org/mailman/listinfo/openvas-discuss
