Just a thought from, unfortunately, the non programmer, but OpenVAS activist..
What about a sort of a modified perl or otherwise script sort of like vmware-tools offers?? Thereby regardless of distro, users supply the right paths when prompted, then they are passed to the ./configure as arguments and this issue gets pre-empted in a distro-agnostic fashion?? Or is this still looking to eventually to do strict checks to architecture, version and paths during a linear ./configure run?? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jan-Oliver Wagner" [[email protected]] Sent: 03/21/2010 09:20 PM CET To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Openvas-distro] debian packages of 3.x tree Hi Kost, On Sunday 21 March 2010 19:33:53 Vlatko Kosturjak wrote: > I've just started to package openvas 3.x for my needs and saw that 3.x > debian rules for packaging are bit broken. I haven't analysed Debian's policies or of the other distros yet. Other voices about the location of the NVTs?
