Its a client-server not just between gsa and manager but
also between manager and scanner.
One of the major improvements of OMP over OTP
is that you don't need to wait for an answer.
But since starting a scan takes some time, Manager
handles a "Requested" status.
There were some issues with the releases prior to beta5.
Which version do you use?
We haven't experienced "lost" "Requested" tasks with the current
version over here.
However, if you restart openvasmd. "Rquested" will be set to "Stopped".
If you run openvasd with verbose option, the openvasmd.log might
offer hints on what went wrong.
Please lest us know any issue you find with the current version.
