Not sure if this is at all related as there hasn't been any change of note
to the host scan system...

Noticed GSAD is running weirdly...

Here is the process

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
  920 root 20 0 113m 1980 1092 S 300 0.1 13:24.75 gsad

The web interface is non-responsive for all functional purposes...

When doing a status of the "greenbone-security-assistant" daemon I get the
following...

service greenbone-security-assistant status
[: 28: 1: unexpected operator
Greenbone Security Assistant is running

On issuing a restart get the same...

[: 28: 1: unexpected operator

And when I issue a reload I get...

[: 28: 1: unexpected operator
Reloading Greenbone Security Assistant configuration files: ERROR.

In the logs I see the following...

[opemvasmd.log]
event auth:MESSAGE:2011-11-17 20h56.13 utc:15592: Authentication success
for user xxxxxxxx (bf6fb086-2c3b-4c93-9b86-a936c8a34287)
lib auth:WARNING:2011-11-17 20h58.00 utc:898: Authentication configuration
could not be loaded.

So it looks like GSAD is at least authenticating the user session??

My "check-openvas-setup" report is clean...

Also just received this when restarting GSAD... "Error: received
handshake message out of context"

Running on Ubuntu 11.04 x64 patched to current (2011-11-17)

Sorry for the lack of cohesion of all of this... Just trying to present
all the evidence without knowing enough about the internals (and
programming in general) to know what relates to what and how...

Cheers,

Matt
