I am trying to get OpenVAS to work and haven't been successful.

I setup a new Fedora 18 install and installed OpenVAS via Atomic repo and Yum. The setup went through without any issues, though it did take a LONNNNNG time...

Now it is setup and I don't get any response from the web interface. I have tried port 9293, though I'm not sure what port to access it from.

I can see that these three are running:
openvas-administrator
openvas-manager
openvas-scanner

However it fails on the scanner with this error:
"Failed to start LSB: This starts and stops the OpenVAS scanner.."

I ran systemctl restart openvas-scanner.service and then it came up without error. I still can't access the web interface.

I downloaded and ran the openvas-check-setup and receive this error:
"Step 1: Checking OpenVAS Scanner ...
ERROR: OpenVAS Scanner too old or too new: 3.3.1
FIX: Please install OpenVAS Scanner 3.4.

ERROR: Your OpenVAS-6 installation is not yet complete!"

So do I need to manually install a different version of the scanner. A version different than the one I get by doing the Yum install of OpenVAS?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
