I installed OpenVAS-6 in a RHEL6 box recently, openvas scanner always say "remote host is dead", but actually the host is alive. I have another openvas-5 on RHEL5, installed a few weeks ago, and it works well. I searched in the internet, found a command provided by mime @OpenVAS IRC,http://pastebin.com/m5b1b0ba5
then I excuted it on my openvas servers http://code.bulix.org/z59nzu-83475 Did you change the SElinux to "permissive"? you can get it done by run "setenforce 0" as root.Could you help to test the similar command in your side? regards,
