Hi, Having the exact same problem. I've located its source to be somewhere in function ssh_login_or_reuse_connection() of /var/lib/openvas/plugins/ssh_func.inc. My _HAVE_LIBSSH configuration constant is true.
I am using OpenVAS7 (Libraries 7.0.7, Scanner 4.0.5, Manager 5.0.8, Greenbone Security Assistant (GSA) 5.0.5, Command line Interface (CLI) 1.3.1) compiled from source on CentOS 6 x86_64.
