Thank you Kent,
the installation of haveged really solved the problem.

After that I had also to create the dir /etc/openvas/gnupg and then finally my
credentials were generated.

Thank you

apt-get install haveged
This helped me tremendously.

Subject: [Openvas-discuss] Create Credentials

Hi,
I just installed openvas on a Debian 7.8 machine using the instructions in
OpenVVAS for Debian via OBS.
I am trying to enter credentials for ssh.

I go in configuration target credentials.
I tried all three options: Autogenerate, Password and Key pair and in all three
I have the same behavior:
it stays there for more than half hour with openvasmd using a lot of cpu and
then I receive the following error:
Operation:

Create Credential

Status code:

500

Status message:

Internal error

in the logs there is basically nothing. the only message is:
==> openvassd.messages <==
[Fri Mar 20 17:29:55 2015][31226] Communication closed by client.

And then the credential is not created.

and during this time openvas is completely blocked, I cannot navigate out of
the credential page and I can't even login in a new browser page.

I searched on google but I found no help.

What I am doing wrong? I am a kind of beginner in Openvas so any suggestion
even trivial is welcome.

Thanks
Massimo
