Matthew, Thanks for the reply.
Added the Port Scanner Family with Nmap NASL and Ping Host selected and I see no difference in the results. Ran the scan with Wireshark running on the target and I still only see an icmp and single tcp syn against the target. The target does not have a firewall running as its my PC I'm doing initial tests on, the OpenVAS server has iptables stopped, is there any known problems with selinux on the OpenVAS server? I looked through /var/log/audit/audit.log and don't see any selinux denies so I don't think so ... just wondering out loud at this point. Thanks for the pointer ... >-----Original Message----- >From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] >Do you have a port scanner selected in your Config? Usually it's "nmap (nasl >wrapper)" and "Ping Host", from family "Port Scanners". _______________________________________________ Openvas-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wald.intevation.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openvas-discuss
