Dear list, I hope you are all doing fine. I am currently running openvas 8, on Kali 2, and openvas-check-setup is not showing anything suspicious ... checked the logs - still nothing BUT when a create a new job, it does not work, it is just hanging like willing to do something but nothing ...
so I ran again the check-setup and the following came up * ERROR: The number of NVTs in the OpenVAS Manager database is too low.* * FIX: Make sure OpenVAS Scanner is running with an up-to-date NVT collection and run 'openvasmd --rebuild'.* * WARNING: OpenVAS Scanner is NOT running!* so I tried again to rebuild the database root@killingme:~#openvasmd --progress --verbose --rebuild Rebuilding NVT cache... / and it just hang in there .. ... Thank you !
