I'm trying to install OpenVAS (Greenbone Community Edition). I think I’ve
followed the instructions for the virtual machine properly, but it doesn’t
seem to be updating the NVT feeds. The Origin says OpenVAS NVT Feed and
it’s 17 days old. Is this normal? Does the feed not update that often, or
is there an issue with my installation?

I installed a second copy just to be sure, and it’s not updating either,
so whatever I’ve done, I’ve done it twice.

I ran greenbone-nvt-sync, and it brought me up to a newer date, but one
that was still 14 days old. (I went from 2017-Jun-30 to 2017-Jul-05). And
it doesn't look like the sync is ongoing, almost like the cron job is
missing.

The other OpenVAS feeds (SCAP and CERT) are also out of date, but not to
the same degree. They are only 1 day old, and when I run the
greenbone-scapdata-sync and greenbone-certdata-sync, they do seem to
update. Again though, why isn't there a cron job auto-updating these?

Thanks.
