I was under the impression that an NVT with a duplicate OID would not be
loaded, but it turns out that this impression was wrong.

I duplicated one NVT into a subdirectory and it was indeed loaded
without error and showed up in the manager DB after a rebuilt, both
copies being selected in the scan config the original was part of.

I have not yet tested whether it would run once or twice when the scan
config is executed.

So an improved subdirectory structure would indeed cause some
duplication if the users decide to keep the original NVT collection as
well.

Maybe we should create a script which help users to figure out which of
their NVTs are not part of the OpenVAS NVT Feed and offer to move them
away before discarding their feed and doing a fresh sync.

Regards,

Michael
