Yes, we think so.  The 2.4.0 release will happen just a few days before
January 1.  And the only reason we do the release just a few days before
2017 is to reach the Debian freeze date, we want 2.4.0 to be official
release.

When also considering that we will continue to develop OpenVPN in 2017
and such copyright update have not been done i a very long time and
would be needed anyhow, doing it once for 2017 was preferred over doing
2016 now and another one just a few days later.
