Rather than having my certificates in the openvpn config folder together with
my config files, I would rather have them in me certificate store.
But I have not been able to figure out how to make this work neither by
following the few howto's found on the net nor to fiddle with it a lot.
OpenVPN (client GUI v5, OpenVPN v2.3.4) is setup and is working on a Windows 7
client with:
ca ca.crtcert pc1.crtkey pc1.key
with all files in the config folder.
With this in my config file:
ca ca.crtcryptoapicert "THUMB:‎‎c6 81 ac ac 30 61 ca 3d 09 51 19 9b bc d5 98 01
07 22 da 4b"key pc1.key
and the pc1.crt imported into the personal certificate store for the current
user as well as for local computer)
When I then right-click OpenVPN-gui and select connect - nothing happends
except OpenVPN fails after 10 sec.
I am logging into windows as a non-administrator, and I am running OpenVPN-gui
as administrator.
Where do i do wrong?
I even tried creating the certificate with build-key-pkcs12 - giving me
opportunity to password protect the certificate from being exported, which I
would like to do as well.
I am a bit like... what is up and what is down on this.... can someone please
enlighten me, please?
Regards, Lars.
