OK. The Vamsee Guide is a bit outdated, you could redo it from a clean
start, step by step, until it breaks.

This really depends on your context : if the goal is to implement
something as a "final project" that will never get reused afterwards,
you're maybe free to use Ruby.

OpenWFE is maintained while OpenWFEru is being [actively] developed.
It means that a bug found in OpenWFEru will get fixed faster than one
found in OpenWFE.
