In terms of interaction, yes.
It's definitively possible as OpenWFE process definition language
(POOL for short) is reprogrammable (it's a Lisp after all).
This would make a nice student project.

I hope BPEL won't win on that matter : it's webservice oriented and
not process oriented, it seems very backward and low level.
