Hi John,

I haven't used any but there are a couple of RSS libraries available for 
PHP. For example http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/, which is is 
compatible with RSS 0.9 through RSS 1.0, and also parses RSS 1.0's 
modules, RSS 2.0, and Atom.

In the meantime I tried composite participants as you suggested and that 
seems to fit my needs. But still, being able to poll workitems via RSS 
(if I understand you correctly) could be really useful.
