It's only "maintained" for now, I don't plan to enhance it further, as OpenWFEru runs on JRuby. > I work with PHP, and are starting some projects in Java. Well, Ruby is a much more promising development language, with a higher productivity for the developer and it's really open source, Java is very enterprisey, even too much, feels like a dinosaur... You seem to be using PHP which is kind of close to Ruby as well so you might understand why I like Ruby over Java. > My objective with OpenWFE-php (with OpenWFEja) is increase the > compatibility, and create some tools to enhance the integration. For me the future of OpenWFE is in Ruby, Java people are much more interested in commercial offering and fat standards' implementation than in things that are simple and that work. OpenWFEru is a rewrite of OpenWFEja, I've tried to get rid of all the fat in OpenWFEja when I wrote OpenWFEru, it's much more simple and straightforward. All the good ideas in OpenWFEja have been kept. Now there are two possibilities for us : OpenWFEru comes with a REST interface implementation that is compatible with the one found in OpenWFEja, that means that you could use openwfe-php out of the box to connect to OpenWFEru. (it's not tested, but it's not hard to test, and I have the impression that with just a bit of work, it might function perfectly) or You wait a little bit until the newest REST interface for OpenWFEru is implemented and you adapt/rewrite openwfe-php for it (openwferu-php). You might even want to participate in the interface definition work. (I've taken the liberty to cross post to the OpenWFEru-dev mailing list, so that other developers can look at my replies).
