John, Do not give up the ship! What I am asking for is some upfront collaboration/cooperation to get to a documented RESTful API to interface with OpenWFE/Densha in runtime. I have no intention to go in the code and start changing things around.
We do have resources to make interoperability happen if we can work together. A lot of work has already been done by many people in that area that we can leverage if it makes sense to us. Here is what I would like to see happen with your permission: I will volunteer to start working on a RESTful API document in svn that we can "publish" to the OpenWFE community to get feedback. I would love to also get the feedback and support from Matt Zukowski. I will not start coding until we get to an agreement on that document from (At least) Matt and You and have both of your names on the document. I will also do my best to get the backup of the WfMC and OGC to support and help us in this endeavor. Would this be satisfactory? Let me know. Thanks, Pat. > From: John Mettraux <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: <[email protected]> > Date: Sun, 6 Jan 2008 00:10:02 +0900 > To: <[email protected]> > Subject: [openwferu-dev] Re: restful authentication (and authorization maybe) > > > On Jan 6, 2008 12:04 AM, John Mettraux <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> On Jan 5, 2008 11:28 PM, Pat Cappelaere <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >>> >>> John, >>> >>> I am obviously not making much progress with influencing OpenWFE design and >>> this is getting frustrating... >> >> What is frustrating to me is that there seem to be no way to separate >> concerns here, our discussions about this RESTful stuff are extremely >> confusing, no clarity. >> >> OK, I give up. >> >> I think I will simply let you commit on Kisha and let you do whatever >> with it.
