This is a great question. BPMN Is the way to go. What do we do for serialization? XPDL is here today and many tools (75+) generate XPDL. http://www.wfmc.org/standards/xpdl.htm http://www.bizagi.com/eng/
I started looking at translation of XPDL to OpenWFE. This looks very doable and is my next task :) after finishing the WfXML/Oauth implementation. May be we could gang up on doing this?
