I thought it would be appropriate to suggest a content for the 'Getting started' section in docs/
This file for OpenWrt Kamikaze Documentation should describe the intent with this documentation and a brief description of what Kamikaze is (compared to WhiteRussian) and what devices (hardware) are supported (list of platforms and examples in each category). I would like to suggest that the file is named: started.tex I will also be needed to write a patch for docs/makefile, if this patch is accepted. =================================== This documentation covers the present release version of the OpenWrt Kamikaze branch. Kamikaze is a completely new system, which has been re-written from the bottom. OpenWrt Kamikaze is best described as a highly flexible Linux distribution for embedded devices. The WhiteRussian branch of OpenWrt was mainly targeted at Broadcom based wireless routers, but today Kamikaze has confirmed support of an extensive list of platforms: \begin{Verbatim} Infineon/ADMtek ADM5120 Infineon/ADMtek ADM5120 AMCC PowerPC 440 Texas Instruments AR7 Atmel AT91 Atheros AR231x/5312 RMI/AMD Alchemy 1500 Atmel AT32AP7000 Broadcom BCM47xx/53xx Broadcom BCM47xx/53xx Broadcom BCM63xx Axis Etrax-LX100v2 Intel IOP32x Intel IXP42x AMCC PowerPC 405 Marvell/Intel PXA250 Mikrotik RouterBoard 532 RDC3211 Broadcom SiByte User Mode Linux x86 \end{Verbatim} These supported architectures range across: \begin{Verbatim} MIPS PPC ARM AVR32 cris i386 \end{Verbatim} OpenWrt Kamikaze is licensed under GNU GPL, and it is the product of the combined work and participation of the involved developers and members of OpenWrt.org. -- Gregers Petersen, Anthropologist [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.wireless-ownership.org [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ openwrt-devel mailing list openwrt-devel@lists.openwrt.org http://lists.openwrt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-devel
