Looks good so far, but 0.8.12's dependency changes significantly 
increase the install footprint of irssi (irssi 0.8.12 + deps is 1080KB 
larger than irssi 0.8.10 + deps.) I think it may be worth keeping the 
old version for those using flash constrained devices (we seem to have 
enough people wanting to irc from their wrt54g.)

I can copy the existing irssi 0.8.10 package to irssi-old (or some other 
suitable name) and apply the 0.8.12 patch, but I wanted to get some user 
input on the subject (and what the name for the older package should be.)
