What's involved in having a script (such as $topdir/localize) that can be run after the system has been compiled and installed but before the actual ext2 or squashfs images get cut?
For instance, I might want to run a sed script that does things like preconfigures wifi, sets system.foreground = 1, creates a couple of userids, sets their passwords, etc. Shouldn't be too hard to do, right?
