Netgear WNDR3700 could also be a good option..I have just started on it and it seems that there is lot of support on OpenWRT & in different forums. It's based upon ATHEROS latest SoC AR7140 680 MHz CPU, 64MB RAM and also supports dual band 2.4 Ghz & 5 Ghz. I also found it very easy to link with PC with a simple USB/Serial transreceiver(beware about Serial +12/-12 V, use a TTL converter or use a NOKIA CA-42 datacable)...........
