hi, since german telekom sells vdsl to business customers, the "new" speedport 221 vdsl modem can be used without vlan tagging. the modem speedport 300HS and speedport 221 is basically the same, both firmwares are based on linux. normal you have to tag all pppoe traffic with vlan7 if you are using the hs300 modem. with the speedport 221 the modem it self does the tagging. my thought is, ether flash the old hs300 modems with the firmware from the speedport 221 or better install openwrt. here is a source download available at http://hilfe.telekom.de/dlp/eki/downloads/S/GPL_Speedport_221.tar.bz2 picture: http://www9.picfront.org/picture/q8FZ8aW3riN/img/SP300H_S.jpg my question is it possible to run a openwrt firmware on it? hardware is based on:
CPU ADMTek 5120 RAM 16 MB SDRAM FLASH 4MB VDSL Infinion vinax Linux version 2.4.20_mvl31-ADM5120 (root@odin) (gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110.1)) #1025 Fre Mr 3 14:56:13 CET 2006 any ideas are welcome thanks ulf _______________________________________________ openwrt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openwrt.org/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-devel
