Fixed by a fresh checkout. My original problem was: "/etc/rc.common: eval: line 1: service_start: not found" I saw that the new wrapper was added in 28834, but it was missing in my /etc/rc.common after updating to 28937. I didn't notice 28864 that moved it was moved to /lib. I applied it by hand and it fixed the problem. Not sure how my tree got corrupted. Sorry for taking the bandwidth.
