[OpenWrt-Devel] ramips: new board patching

I've got my HG532 board running using the method described in the wiki. 
Now, do i need to use quilt to make a platform patch before diff-ing. 
Like with brcm. Or can i go ahead and just diff the tree as the modified 
files aren't part of the kernel source tree?
