Specifically working on Airrouter - they have done something to them so they (1) won't run OpenWRT and (2) won't run their own AirOS earlier than 5.5. Looking at the Ubnt.com forum, it appears this is a general issue across all the "M" products.

Trying to upgrade from the AirOS GUI leads to a "Bad firmware image" error; using tftp method leads to a router that doesn't pass any traffic from any port.

This appears similar to the issue I saw in January of this year on the PicoStation 2HP. The regdomain byte had been changed to something nonsensical, disabling the radio.

Have not attached the serial monitor yet - hoping someone else has seen this.
