Hi, I am working on adding support for TCL HH500V (Vodafone Gigacube 5G B157) which is ipq8072 and I've realized that there are boxes out there with a NAND+NOR, but also with NAND alone.
As far as I can tell u-boot handles this by patching the corresponding device tree nodes with appropriate partitions as needed. How do we normally handle this in OpenWrt - two separate devices looks like an overkill with users possibly not being able to tell the HW versions apart, while at the same time depending on flash layout from u-boot leaves us with less flexibility and can cause problems in the future.
