I have a patch, initially authored by @Shine in the forums, that I have
applied to v24.10.4 and v24.10.5. Both built and the 24.10.4 build ran
without issues - uptime +2weeks. I have 48hours uptime on the new build
and clean boot logs.

I reviewed the submission guidelines about using git cherry-pick to
backport but the process seems to entail, applying my patch and then
yanking it back out. I'm also not facile with git.

Questions:
1. Can I just submit the patch inline?
2. Does it need to duplicate the commit message?

Although, I normally would use 25.12rc1, I'm in the final phase of
CAD/3D printing/Patent Application on my LAN and vulnerabilities,
network hiccups could be consequential.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.
