#22525: How to migrate to LEDE?

So, OpenWRT is obviously dead, thx to devs left the project. Is there a
guide how we can migrate from a OpenWRT trunk build to LEDE? Would a
simple sysupgrade work? Will all the software and configs still work in
LEDE? What about the old packages from OpenWRT?
