Comment (by leonardogyn):
As requested by Charles Manning, the author of yaffs filesystem code, i
enabled the mount option 'inband-tags' for the rootfs partition. He asked
me that on the yaffs mailing list.
I couldn't pass that option during the boot, so i actually edited
"target/linux/generic/files/fs/yaffs2/yaffs_vfs.c" and forced it for the
rootfs partition (minor 31, major 6 on RB450 and RB450G). Ugly way, i
know, but it was the way i found to get it working after several weeks
trying to pass that through boot/kernel options and had no success.
After booting and seeing the rootfs being mounted with inband-tags, i
couldnt reproduce the problem anymore. Used and available space remains
stable even after intense write/delete/loop lots of times operations. This
was done with freshest revision i downloaded this week, r42092.
So, it seems that inband-tags on the yaffs code at least workarounded the
situation. And i'll definitely use this as a temporary solution.
I'll investigate a little more on this, i should post more extra info on
the next days.
