#18106: Assigning interface to physical VLAN-interface causes 100% cpu
----------------------------+-----------------------------------
Reporter: martin.priv@… | Owner: developers
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: base system | Version: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Resolution: | Keywords: VLAN, Interface,
----------------------------+-----------------------------------
Comment (by martin.priv@…):
The problem occurs when adding
{{{
config interface 'IPTV'
option proto 'none'
option ifname 'eth0.845'
}}}
(Regardless of protocol)
I have also tried another router, TP-Link WDR3600 with 14.07.
The same thing happens!
Steps to reproduce:
1. Att a new VLAN to switch config.
2. Assign VLAN to CPU-port (tagged) and some other free port (untagged).
3. Create a new interface.
4. Assign it to the prevously created VLAN.
=>Syslog fills up with messages about the interface going up/down until
the router runs out of RAM and crashes.
