On my TL-WDR3600.
Firmware Version OpenWrt Chaos Calmer r42757
The VLAN works.
The solution was merged in: r42652, r42653 (2014-09-23)

I could not find if this solution is also merged in Barrier Breaker Final.
But i can confirm that the trunk version works fine.
