#19998: TP-Link TL-WDR4300v1.7 wifi problem (repeated authentication/deauth)

-------------------------+-----------------------------------
 I've got a TL-WDR4300v1.7 with openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-wdr4300-v1
 -squashfs-factory.bin (Barrier Breaker - 14.07, r42625). I set up wifi
 with 2.4 and 5GHz. I've trouble with the authentication in both of them. A
 linux client and an iPhone connect well to the wifi, androids do only when
 password is set to 'testtest' or in unencrypted mode, NOTHING else.

 I've tried all cipher modes, disabling ht and a lot of restarting hostapd.
 IRC suggested to go with unencrypted which is not an option. It seems to
 be the same problem AndreZ has reported and solved in ticket #9561 which
 is a hostapd related problem.

 When connecting an android devie the log shows the following lines:
 {{{
 Sat Jun 27 20:15:43 2015 daemon.info hostapd: wlan1: STA [MAC] IEEE
 802.11: authenticated
 Sat Jun 27 20:15:43 2015 daemon.info hostapd: wlan1: STA [MAC] IEEE
 802.11: associated (aid 1)
 Sat Jun 27 20:15:47 2015 daemon.info hostapd: wlan1: STA [MAC] IEEE
 802.11: disassociated
 Sat Jun 27 20:15:52 2015 daemon.info hostapd: wlan1: STA [MAC] IEEE
 802.11: deauthenticated due to local deauth request
 }}}
