#18616: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0 (ag71xx): transmit queue 0 timed out ------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: openwrt@… | Owner: developers Type: defect | Status: reopened Priority: normal | Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05 Component: kernel | Version: Trunk Resolution: | Keywords: ------------------------+--------------------------------
Comment (by psyke83): The original bug was probably different, but the issue experienced by uysiquebien should definitely be fixed, yes. There was a flaw in the driver: when the tx queue became full, it stopped the transmit queue, but neglected to subsequently wake the queue, causing tx timeouts until the interface was brought down and back up. The fix should affect all SOCs using the ar71xx drivers, so a lot of open bug reports mentioning "tx timeout" or "transmit queue 0 timed out" should be solved by this (some of them 4+ years old). -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/18616#comment:11> OpenWrt <http://openwrt.org> Opensource Wireless Router Technology _______________________________________________ openwrt-tickets mailing list openwrt-tickets@lists.openwrt.org https://lists.openwrt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-tickets
