For the record, we sent this e-mail to the [email protected]
mailing list back in July 2015. Except for comments from a couple people
who said they're not in charge, we have not received a formal response.
As a member of the team that's trying to make the OpenWrt web presence
more inviting to new people, we are volunteering to take on any of these
projects if given permission.
NB We need to acknowledge the help that we've been given since this was
written. We have accomplished item number 3 - Fixing the Table of
Hardware.
Thanks in advance for considering our request.

Hello!
I am working with team of people who wish to improve the OpenWrt web
sites. At Gregers Petersen's request, we have come up with proposals for
updates we would like to make.
In all of these items, it is our sincere desire to be a help to the core
development team, so that they can focus their attention on the upcoming
CC release and continuing the progress of OpenWrt.
What is the best format for me to submit these requests?
Many thanks, and best regards,
Rich Brown, for

1) We propose updated text for the OpenWrt.org home page. These changes
preserve the timely and important information about OpenWrt. The proposed
changes are outlined in: https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/19892 We would
need help from the core-developers to make changes to this page.
2) We have also been working on an update to the documentation for
OpenWrt, especially the top-level pages of the wiki. Although this is
still a work in progress, we believe that people (especially newcomers)
will be well served by creating three different guides, one for each level
of experience. You can see our thinking at
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/playground If this presentation were to become
the top-level page of Wiki.openwrt.org, we would need someone with more-
than-member permissions to make changes to that top-level page.
3) The group is also working to harmonize the Table of Hardware/Supported
Devices page, and to make it easier to maintain the information there. We
have been discussing the changes on the Forums at:
https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=56521&p=22 We have sufficient
access to the Wiki to be able to do most of this work (jow kindly
installed the data plugin for Dokuwiki that enables our work.)
4) We would like to get access to any of the traffic analytics for the
OpenWrt sites (home page, wiki, forum). If none are in place, we would
work with the administrator(s) to add Google Analytics or the preferred
analytics tool to those sites. This would require admin access to the
sites to include the required Javascript.
