#22041: Regression: ATH10K fails to load after a reboot, but works on a "cold"
start

--------------------------+--------------------------------
 Hi,

the recent git commits d06b28d91fe1, 072fa2afcfbd and 3be11f888349
backported some ATH10K firmware code from trunk to Chaos Calmer. After
these commits, I experience an odd regression on my TP-Link Archer C7 v2.

Booting "cold", i.e. the router was unplugged or the power switch turned
off before a boot, everything works fine. The ath10k firware loads and the
 5GHz radio works.

However, rebooting the system with the command 'reboot' leads to the
ath10k firmware or module not being loaded at all.

I can reproduce this repeatedly. This issue was not present in previous
revisions. My previous image compiled early February worked fine. My new
image compiled early March shows the problem. (I compile snapshots once a
month using the same diffconfig.) I have not fully bisected this to these
3 aforementioned commits. But since they are the only ath10k related
commits between early February and early March, I'm just assuming it's
these commits that introduced the issue.

I'm attaching to dmesg logs. One is after a cold boot where ath10k loads
and 5GHz wifi works and one is after a soft reboot where ath10k doesn't
 work.

If you need more information, please let me know.

 Thanks,

 Timo
