#22676: Banana pro (sunxi) ethernet (stmmac) not functional
-------------------------+--------------------------------
 Reporter: chris.ace@… | Owner: developers
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: high | Milestone:
Component: kernel | Version: Chaos Calmer 15.05
 Keywords: |
-------------------------+--------------------------------
When using a CC image on a Banana Pro the system is booting up fine, but
the ethernet network is unusable. When pinging the system I have more than
50% packet loss, an actual connection (luci or ssh) cannot be established.
The same board works fine with Ambian (which uses gmac instead of stmmac)
so I'm pretty sure its not a hardware defect or wiring problem (of course
I also replaced cables, switches to eliminate this as source).

I don't think this is related to the well known "gigabit problem" on
sunxi, because the problem also exists when forcing the switch port to 10
or 100. I still have to find out if the problem still exists in trunk, but
#22675 prevents me from testing right now.

If it still exists in trunk my first attempts would be to play around with
buffers, but since stmmac is now in-kernel this wont be so easy... any
 suggestions?
