as part of my openwrt tutorial for the WL500GP, i'm writing a wiki page here:
http://www.crashcourse.ca/wiki/index.php/Getting_started_with_Kamikaze_on_the_WL500GP it's just going to contain useful stuff that a newcomer to OpenWRT might want to check out, in order to familiarize himself/herself to the layout of the OS -- both files and directories to poke around in, as well as commands to run to see things like the state of system software, filesystem layout, packages and so on. the page is meant for newcomers to *openwrt*, not newcomers to *linux*, so i'm assuming i just have to point at stuff. if you have suggestions as to the sort of thing someone like that should be introduced to, just toss them out here. no need to get verbose, just quick and dirty recommendations and i'll add them in the appropriate place on that page somewhere. mostly, it's going to be a page that *i* would have found handy at the time. :-) rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
