The folks over at the bcm43xx-dev list tell me that hardware crypto should be supported and that the config I am trying should provide it. They have asked me to excise the b43 driver from the 2.6.27.1 kernel and see if that will work with the OpenWrt 2.6.25.17 kernel just to make sure it's not something that is already fixed. Not sure when I'll get time for that. b.
