i *think* i asked about this a while back but i don't remember
seeing a response, so i'm hoping someone can still help out.

i have an asus wl-500gp (v1) and recently picked up an atheros-based
tp-link tl-wn961n to replace the mini-pci format broadcom wireless
card that was already in there. the new card (not surprisingly) pops
in just fine so, the questions:

* given that this is a non-standard combination, i'm assuming there's
no pre-built flashable 8.09.1 image for my router. (after all, why
*would* there be? but i can easily build my own image -- i've done it
before so no problem.)

* has anyone else actually set up this combination and got it to work
with full wireless? i ask since here's a picture of the card:

http://www.tp-link.com/products/product_des.asp?id=138

and, if you look closely, there are three antenna connectors at the
top of the card. the one on the far left is labelled "0" and i would
have figured that to be the primary connector but, in an asus
wl-500gp, the single antenna comes in below that card and, relative to
that image, near the bottom *right*. and the wire coming from the
antenna isn't long enough to reach all the way up and across the
wireless card to get to that connector, which leaves me with 2
choices:

1) find a longer wire somewhere, or

2) attach it to one of the other connectors on the top *right*
(labelled "1" and "2").

thoughts? in short, has anyone else done this, and how did you do
it? thanks.
