You may have to run openvpn service process manually ,with the prefix
strace(you can install it with opkg) which will print every step the program
goes, redirect the output to a file in permanent filesystem. The next time you
boot your router you'll be able to review what happened at the moment.
In my view, the problem should be related to memory usage, especially RAM too
small or kernel module bug.

Subject: [OpenWrt-Users] how to troubleshoot openvpn crash my router

hi,

i have openvpn-2.3.2 installed from opkg but when i manually start it about
1min passed, router will reboot.

when i enabled openvpn service on startup, router will auto reboot forever.

i have some linux skill, but output of logread at openwrt-12.09 will not help
and will be empty when there is a new boot.

even both openvpn client (my router) and server (linux vps) debug level logs
not help.

the same configure files for client on both other platform like windows7 (home)
and fedora20 (office) work normally.

all packages from opkg at tp-link wr703n.

--------------- may be useless above, blah blah...

Any ideas of how to troubleshoot normal software or process booboo on
openwrt-12.09 ?
