-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I was just thinking about client roaming in wifi networks. People told me, that clients have a kind of sticky behaviour and won't let an AP go, even if there are better APs available. So I thought if it could be possible to see the wifi link quality to wifi-clients from the routers point of view. Then it would be possible to implement a DHT and watchscript and just kick clients from hostapd, in hope they connect to a better one. I know tools like horst are possible to do that (show the link quality). Is their a way to just got the raw data out of the kernel or do I have to do some math and driver hacking to process the data? Thanks for any hints or other ideas, to ensure constantly good link quality.
