Hi all, I'm trying to compile a driver for a specific USB to serial adapter based on a chipset for which the vendor has released the source code. I apologize in advance for newbie questions.
I'm following this wikipages in order http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/devel/crosscompile http://wiki.openwrt.org/about/toolchain http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/build but I'm stuck on that "staging directory". Where or how can I find the info to add to the ~/.bashrc file? Moreover do I need to compile a kernel before compiling this specific driver? In short with what do I have to replace <buildroot dir>/staging_dir/host/bin <buildroot dir>/staging_dir/toolchain-<platform>-<gcc_ver>-<libc_ver>/bin I'm at the point where I'm able to do make menuconfig.
