I am not a hardware person but I would like to have the correct hardware on hand to jtag a totally bricked router.
I also have one old unused router that is totally bricked that I would like to jtag. My computer only has usb so I want a usb rather than a parallel solution. My old router and the router I am thinking about getting has 14 pins on its jtag. But I would like to be able to do other routers as well. I use Linux not windows for my hosts, so I want to use urjtag as my jtag software. Which Jtag hardware, i.e. usb cables and interfaces should I get? I have looked on amazon but I am not sure which hardware will work with Linux. The link that says "Cheapest ready-made USB JTAG adapter to buy in the USA… FIXME: Broken link, Please fix" http://microcontrollershop.com/product_info.php?products_id=3124 on the openwrt "JTAG Cables" web page is broken. Thank You for considering this question. -- Paul Elliott 1(512)837-1096 [email protected] PMB 181, 11900 Metric Blvd Suite J http://www.free.blackpatchpanel.com/pme/ Austin TX 78758-3117
