As said, please try running the daemon with -debug 128 and have a look
at the stderr.log (this tends to get huge, but just try searching
for get_error from the bottom up) ... The client error message does
not help very much (except for reminding me of "TODO: error handling" -
sigh) ...

The +'s look fine to me.

Sorry, this was just a debug comment that has crept in in one of the
recent commits, fixed in 1301. Thanks for pointing out the little things
that we are so used to we don't see them anymore :)
