Hi,

chartjs is under MIT license so no compatibility issue with the default apache 2.0

I think both options are possible but if you clone it in your repo, I would suggest to create a 3rd-party directory to separate internal code from 3rd party code (e.g. https://git.opnfv.org/releng/tree/utils/test/reporting)

visualization js lib is also a good topic for the testing group... :)
