Hi Mike, It looks like you need help here for inputs to TIA group about some “methodology or templates/models” for test control automation, if I understand correctly. In this case, I echo Rao’s suggestion. It’d be better that you can provide a talk in OPNFV test working group about some background and your requirements. So that the testing community will be aware of and better understand your requests, and feedback to you. Then we’d be able to collect the all needed informations to develop a solution for you. Does that sound applicable to you?

What needs to happen IMO, is that the meta-data in the network gear needs to be established in order to automate the test controls methods. (like what standard functional configuration is the equipment in NFVI). Past that in a live network we need standardized overlay test points so we can discover what and where the appropriate test points are and then run the test, and qualify the results. i.e. - Standard automation, provided one understands what and who you are automating for… Parts of NFV still think they are automating for the provider (but cloud automates for the customer). Anyway – if anyone on that team can provider an overview of your frameworks in Testperf the TIA group would love to get that overview… Thanks, mike From: "Rao, Sridhar" <sridhar....@spirent.com<mailto:sridhar....@spirent.com>> Date: Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 6:30 PM To: "Bugenhagen, Michael K" <michael.k.bugenha...@centurylink.com<mailto:michael.k.bugenha...@centurylink.com>>, "opnfv-tech-discuss@lists.opnfv.org<mailto:opnfv-tech-discuss@lists.opnfv.org>" <opnfv-tech-discuss@lists.opnfv.org<mailto:opnfv-tech-discuss@lists.opnfv.org>> Cc: "Yuyang (Gabriel)" <gabriel.yuy...@huawei.com<mailto:gabriel.yuy...@huawei.com>> Subject: RE: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [vsperf] Agenda for VSPERF weekly meeting - 10 Jan 2017 (ww51) Mike, I think, from OPNFV, Test-WG would be in better position to initiate sharing|aligning with TL9000. I have CC’d Gabriel, who is heading Test-WG, in this mail. From VSPERF, I’ll initiate a discussion next week on this, and I’m confident the team will be aware of TL9000 and may have their inputs to share. Maybe, if you can join VSPERF call next week and share your thoughts and inputs to the team, it would be helpful. Regards, Sridhar K. N. Rao (Ph. If the OPNFV test group has any NFVI categories used for test report context (i.e. meta data your recording on the NFVI configuration) I think it would be good for the OPNFV group to share that with the TIA / Quest group. IF nothing else the test benching you have should also be shared with them so they are aware of it. If you can get a few overview slides together I can setup an TIA / Quest session to cover that – We meet weekly.
